Golf

Honolulu and golf just naturally go together.  With warm, but not hot, weather most of the year, Honolulu and the rest of Oahu is an excellent place for playing golf.  Consequently, there are many courses available, many surprisingly close to Waikiki.  As you might expect, many of the courses offer spectacular views, with many holes facing the ocean or the mountains.

Taking your own clubs on an airplane can be a hassle, so there are usually golf clubs and bags available to rent.  Like most enterprises in Honolulu, golf courses tend to gear things towards tourists.  Japanese golfers are especially fond of the golf courses all over the Hawaiian Islands, and that is certainly true of the courses in and around Honolulu.
